Planning for the Future

One of the most stressful tasks of the teenage years is thinking about what to do when you grow up. This unit can help your students begin to look first and foremost to God as they plan and begin to make choices that will affect their tomorrows.

Lesson 1: Graduation-Then What?--We can glorify and serve God through many different careers. (Colossians 3:1-3, 17; Proverbs 15:22; Romans 12:3-8)

Lesson 2: Community Connection--As teens mature and look to the future, they should experience Christian unity based on interdependence among believers. (2 Timothy 2:22; 1 Corinthians 13:11; Psalm 133:1)

Lesson 3: Still Growing?--Because spiritual growth doesn't just happen on its own, we must take purposeful strides toward Christlikeness. (Hebrews 5:13-6:3; Philippians 3:12-16; 4:8-9)

Lesson 4: Is There a Future?--Even though the world changes rapidly, Christians can make plans because we know our future is securely within God's control. (Jeremiah 29:1-14; Romans 8:38-39; Proverbs 23:18)
