National Treasure
This four-week Bible study is based on the movie National Treasure. For over a century, the Gates family has been searching for an immeasurable historical treasure, which they believe was hidden by a secret society comprised of many of the founding fathers of America. Benjamin Franklin Gates, the youngest of the Gates family treasure hunters, is successful in discovering hidden clues that lead him closer than any of his ancestors to finding the treasure.
Lesson 1: Passion to Action--To understand that it is our responsibility as believers to passionately share the good news with those around us. (Matthew 5:14 16; Colossians 3:23-24; 1 Peter 3:15; Jude 1:21-25)
Lesson 2: Convincing Faith--To realize that we should gently, respectfully, and continually share our faith with others, though they may ridicule or reject us for believing in something we cannot see. (John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 1:18-20; Colossians 4:5-6; Hebrews 11:1; 1 Peter 3:15-16)
Lesson 3: Letting Go and Holding On--To realize that God wants us to lead surrendered lives: letting go of what we cannot save so we can gain what we cannot earn. (Matthew 16:24 26; Romans 12:1 2)
Lesson 4: The Greatest Treasure of All--To understand that God has given us the greatest treasure of all: the present gift of life with Christ, and the promised gift of eternity spent with Him in heaven. (Romans 10:9 10; 1 Corinthians 2:9; Revelation 7:13 17; Revelation 21:4)
