Making Choices

Because your teenagers are facing critical, life-altering decisions, this unit is designed to help them face life's most important choice (whether or not to live for God) and to help them discover the biblical principles that, if followed, will help them make God-honoring decisions in all their others choices.

Lesson 1: The First Choice--The choice of whether or not to live for God affects every decision we make. (Joshua 24; Deuteronomy 30:15-20; Psalm 119:45)

Lesson 2: Choosing a Life of Love--As Christians, the choices we make should show that we love or neighbors as ourselves. (Mark 12:29-31; Romans 13:8-14; Luke 10:25-37)

Lesson 3: Honest to God!--Following Christ involves choosing to be completely honest and reliable in all you do. (Matthew 5:33-37; 2 Corinthians 8:1-4, 16-22; Isaiah 59:4, 14-15; Ephesians 4:15)

Lesson 4: Truth or Consequences--Because our choices affect others, we must first weigh the possible consequences of our choices and then accept responsibility for our actions. (Jonah 1:7-8; 1 Corinthians 8:9, 12)

Lesson 5: The Christian Brain Trust--Seeking the opinions and advice of other Christians is a necessary and important part of making God-honoring choices. (Proverbs 2:12-15; 13:10; 15:22; Exodus 18:1, 5, 13-27)
