Product Summary

This unit covers Proper 5-8. It is designed to help students understand the Trinity, and especially the role of the Holy Spirit therein.

Lesson 1: Turning our Lives to God--This lesson’s theme is “Making Good Choices and Decisions.” Good decision making is essential for students and adults alike in order to be faithful followers of Christ. (Ps 138; Gen 3:8-15; 2 Cor 4:13-5:1; Mk 3:20-35)

Lesson 2: Things Are not Always as They Appear--This lesson’s theme is “Transformed Heart, Transformed Sight.” When God’s Spirit rests on us, our life is transformed. When His Spirit is poured out on us, we live anew, and we see others in a new way. (1 Sam 15:34-16:13; Ps 20; 2 Cor 5:6-17; Mk 4:26-34)

Lesson 3: Slain Giants and Stilled Storms--This lesson’s theme is “The Lord’s Power to Deliver us from Our Fears.” God is faithful and has the power to deliver us from our battles. He is stronger than our circumstances, and He has power to do the impossible if we will see by faith that He is with us in the battle and in our storm. (1 Sam 17:1a, 4-11,19-23, 32-49; Ps 9:9-20; 2 Cor 6:1-13; Mk 4:35-41)

Lesson 4: Healed and Risen!--This lesson’s theme is “Believing in the Healing Power of Jesus.” Jesus heals by faith, even if He himself must encourage that faith. Jesus stops to bring healing even though the crowds around Him bring doubt and discouragement. (2 Sam 1:1, 17-27; Ps 130; 2 Cor 8:7-15; Mk 5:21-43)
