Product Summary

This unit covers Epiphany 3-6 in Lectionary Year B. It is designed to help students understand the coming of Christ and to live out His call upon our lives.

Lesson 1: Time is of the Essence--This lesson's theme is The Call to Repent and Follow. The story of Jonah is related. Jesus calls us to repent of our sins and follow Him. What does it mean to repent? Can we be followers of Jesus if we don't change our behavior? (Jonah 3:1-5, 10; Psalm 62:5-12; 1 Cor. 7:29-31; Mark 1:14-20)

Lesson 2: The Name above Every Name--This lesson's theme is The Authority and Power of Jesus. Jesus reveals His authority by teaching, casting out demons, healing and performing other miracles. Have we given Jesus power and authority over our lives? (Deuteronomy 18:15-20; Psalm 111; 1 Corinthians 8:1-13; Mark 1:21-28)

Lesson 3: God of Wonders--This lesson's theme is Universal Power, Intimate Concern. God is mighty because He handles stars and nations, yet He is still intimately concerned about our lives. Why would a God so big even give us a second thought? (Isaiah 40:21-31; Psalm 147:1-11, 20c; 1 Corinthians 9:16-23; Mark 1:29-39)

Lesson 4: The God Who Touches--This lesson's theme is Healing and Response. Jesus' healing actions serve as a metaphor for life. Our lives must change in response to the healing presence of Christ. Have we experienced the healing, wholeness and life that Jesus offers? (2 Kings 5:1-14; Psalm 30; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27; Mark 1:40-45)
