Coach Carter

This four-week series is based on the film Coach Carter. As you move through the series you will help students 1) discuss the meaning of grace, 2) think about how actions result in consequences, 3) count the cost of following Christ, and 4) learn about giving and receiving forgiveness.

Lesson 1: Indebted--The goal of this lesson is to help students acknowledge that we cannot earn our way into the kingdom of God and to accept the grace of God. (Romans 3:23: 5:6-8)

Lesson 2: Consequences--This lesson emphasizes the importance of making good choices. (Galatians 6:7-9)

Lesson 3: Persecution--This lesson gives students opportunity to witness and discuss how hard--and rewarding--it can be to do the right thing. (Matthew 5:10-12)

Lesson 4: Welcome Back--Forgiveness is what students and Timo learn about and experience in this closing lesson. (Matthew 18:21-22)
