This unit will challenge you and your group members to go beyond the command to become world Christians to some of the exciting joys and challenges involved in such a lifestyle.

Lesson 1: What Kind of World Is It?--In this session, we ask, What kind of world is it? For our answer, we travel far beyond the limits of our own backyards. What we find may be shockingly unfamiliar for some, if not most, of us. (Ps 8:1; 24:1; Matt 6:9-10; 24:14; 28:19-20; Mk 16:15; Jn 3:16; 1 Cor 4:7; 2 Cor 5:19; 1 Jn 4:14; Rev 11:15)

Lesson 2: Why Foreign Missions?--The purpose of this session is to convince the young adults in your group that they are a vital part of the success of the world mission of Christ's church, and that world mission is vital to their own growth as persons and Christians. (Lk 6:35; 12:15; Ac 2:44; 4:32)

Lesson 3: The Marks of World Christians--World Christians are marked by what they believe and do. In this session, we will look at just what those marks are. Hopefully, you and your young adults will find that you are distinguishable by these same marks. (Gen 1:1; 4:9; Ps 24:1; Matt 13:6-10, 43; Lk 4:24-28; Jn 5:28-29; Rom 5:12; 1 Cor 15:47-49; Eph 3:15; 4:6, 16; Ph 2:9-11; 2 Tim 2:21; Heb 9:27; Rev 11:15)

Lesson 4: The Future of World Missions--The last word of Jesus to His disciples in Matthew's Gospel was, Go. Go and make disciples of all nations (28:19).The command to go into the entire world is just as real today--maybe even more urgent than ever. It seems as if there are so many people and so little time. Is it possible that the world can still be won to Christ, or is it a lost cause? In either case, what is the future of world missions? (Matt 28:19; Ac 4:30; 13:2-3; 15:28; 16:6-8; 20:28)
