New Testament Unit 1

This unit is designed to help students understand the importance and significance of the birth of Jesus, His baptism, temptation, and early ministry. Through these Bible stories your students will learn that Christ became like one of us, walked as an obedient witnesses for God, was tempted like we are, and He calls us to follow Him.

Lesson 25: Unto Us a Child Is Born--Christ s entrance into our world is an exciting part of God s ongoing Story to redeem humanity and save all who believe. (Luke 2:1-20)

Lesson 26: This Is My Son!--John was a faithful witness in pointing people toward Jesus. (Matthew 3:1-17)

Lesson 27: Temptation In The Desert--When Satan tempted Jesus in real, tangible ways, Jesus refused to compromise. Instead, He defeated Satan by using Scripture, which is the sword of the Spirit. (Matthew 4:1-11)

Lesson 28: Calling All Disciples--When Jesus called ordinary men to become His disciples, they accepted His call and left everything behind to be a part of His Story. (Matthew 4:18-22)
